Not sure I get that: restricted in conjunction with the MAXIMUM preheat and interpass temperatures required.

Where are the MAXIMUM preheat and interpass temperatures shown?

Table 3.2? Don't see it here.

Well no wonder I didn't see it...it was whole 1/16" away from where I started which was Note 2 of Table 3.2.

I would have figured that out straight away if note 2 of table 3.2 had simply read "The maximum preheat and interpass temps stated in the note immediately following this note do not apply to ASTM 913."
