I am taking noise power measurements of a system at 6GHz (narrowband signal, BW 40MHz)to calculate the noise temperature of the system. I will be taking two noise power measrements and am interested only in the difference of the two (Phot and Pcold) to calculate the noise temp using Y-factor method. What type of power sensors shuold I use with my HP power meter - CW/Ave/Peak ? Thx.
