Automating Threaded hole callout (NX Open)

Hi everyone,

we have a specific way of calling out threaded hole on drawings at my company and I would like to know if it would be possible to automate the process of appending this information to selected hole dimensions via a VB macro.

typically, after dimensioning a hole we modify the callout with appended manual text like this:

original: .086
modified: #2(.086-56) UNC-2B

The hole you are dimensioning needs to be made in the model using the hole function/ threaded hole. In the view style threads need to be other than none.

Thank you for your answer. This method is working but it only allows me to choose from a subset of thread standards (ANSI, ISO, etc.) Is it possible to create a new custom standard for thread dimensions?

That would be up to your company to have the parameters set that up.
