Hi,
When I export a part or assembly from Abaqus as a .sat file, the .sat file is unable to be read in by AutoCAD.
Is this s common error and is there any way around it?

I don't have AutoCAD, so I don't know. Have you tried another file type like stp?

yes, importing/exporting CAD between different software often results in errors.

Try different files types like Mustaine suggested (.stp, .iges, .sat are common types).

Also most commercial CAD packages have tools for cleaning up dirty CAD.
