AutoCad LT 2000

I am using AutoCad LT 2000. The origional version was used on Windows 3.1. It came on 6 1.4 MB disks. There have been upgrades but in order to install the first upgrade you have to have the origional version installed. I am trying to move the program to my laptop but when I try to install version 1, Disk #1 starts to install but stops after a few seconds an a note on the screen says to install disk #1.
Any suggestions.
