I'm trying to determine an Autocad drawing's creation date
but I have a question: How can I determine the true creation date for a drawing created using imported drawings from a diferent file? I.E. If I copy some portions of another drawing and then import it into a blank drawing is there any way I can find the creation date for the original drawing even if I don't have it with me? I have used the "status" command but it doesn't solve my problem.

beercia,

Try typing TIME on the command line. This should give the date of file creation, editing time, etc.

Time will tell you info about the current drawing and session. Objects from another drawing do not have any tag or extended data that refer to the date they were created. Objects are just objects.
