Auto Windchill 8 WTPart Rename

Thanks in advance to all WC gurus,


I need to rename wtpart name &/or number to about 2000 objects in


windchill 8. I can think of 3 methods.


1) sql is risky, 2) windchill java class command line 3) manual will take forever.


I would appreciate all suggestions, methods. I imagine windchill command line


java class is quickest, most automatic, but I dont have any existing examples.


Very open & appreciative to any suggestions there.


If there is a way to automate manual within windchill,. That will work also, but I'm


not familiar with any of those.
