Auger / screw / rotary conveyor

Hello All,

I'm looking for a really low cost auger screw and housing about a foot in length to act as a feed screw for woodchips.

So far i've thought of using:

1. 1" auger drill - too high a torque needed to drive it.
2. soil auger - too expensive.

Has anyone else got any brighter ideas available in the UK?
