Astm b695 vs a123

Does b695 meet or exceed a123 when applied structural steel or only apply to hardware? I.e. Can I mechanically galvanize a beam for example via blast with zinc and heavy organic coat....can I use b695 when a123 is specified is the question?

There are multiple grades within each standard. It is possible that parts coated according to B695 can meet or exceed the performance of parts coated according to A123. You will have to decide if you should.
