ASTM A216 Materials? 2

Coudl some one tell me if WCC and WCB variations of A216 are equal? I have a customer that is requesting WCC materials, and my supplier is offering WCB for my pressure releif vlave offering!

The two grades are similar but not identical. Here is a summary of the differences:

WCB has 0.30% max C concentration, 1.00% max Mn concentration, and 36 ksi/250 MPa yield strength.

WCC has 0.25% max C concentration, 1.20% max Mn concentration, and 40 ksi/275 MPa yield strength.

A quick addition is that when WCB is required WCC is always an acceptable alternative but unfortunatley not the other way round. The properties of WCC are superior to WCB.
