My company is frequently picking up more asphalt pavement projects. Including pavement/base coarse thickness recommendations as well as the construction materials testing side. Can any of you recommend a good textbook or any publications on the matter? I want to have a better understanding of what typically goes into the design thought process and how I can better inspect asphalt in the field. Thanks
