I am having a slight engineering dispute with an engineer. They want a vessel/tank built that they believe should not be code stamped.
I believe it should be. Let me know if you think other wise, opinions please.

Jurisdiction: Kentucky
Product vessel: Atmo pressure, 300°f.
Steam jacket: 50# @ 300°f

The product vessel will be 36" OD just over 6'-0" tall, no closure on the to and a toriconical transition at the bottom to the smallest opening i can have made, which right now is 6".
so pretty much a giant jackted mixing bowl.

if anyone has any good vessel head and shell suppliers I could use some P.O.C's

App. 9-1(c): "Where the internal pressure is 15psi or less and any combination of pressures and vacuum in the vessel and jacket will produce a total external pressure greater than 15psi on the inner vessel wall, then the entire jacket shall be interpreted as within the scope of this part."
