hi

Asme SA-516/SA-516 M- " Specification for Pressure vessel plates C.S for MODERATE & LOWER TEMPARATURE SERVICE" which is identical to ASTM specification A516/ A 516 M.

MY QUESTION is that what do you termed lower, moderate temparature in this case as well in other Spec. they have mentioned intermidiate and higher Temparature service.

Can any one explain me this temparature range?

thanks

The moderate to lower temperature service also implies melting practices that result in finer grained material where toughness in service is more of a controlling design parameter, versus elevated temperature service where coarse grained materials would be preferred for creep strength.
