I have a customer that wants to restrict the exposure of low melting elements. No handling, processing equipment shall have or use low melting elements. What about the bearings that run the machinery? We have some bearings (that contain low melting elements) that come into contact with the lubricating fluid that comes into contact with the material. Is that an issue?
In theory, it was possible for these elements to be carried from the bearings (as they wear), to the bar and could then be pounded into the material during a forging process. What is the general consensus?
Thanks
