as per ASMe B31.1 ; cl:122.4 on attemperator block valave ''regulating valve shall be installed upstream of the stop valve. In additon, if the steam generator supplies steam to the steam turbine, a power operated block valves shall be installed upstream of the regulating valve."" - this is self explanatory as i am working on EN boiler and i am looking for the same or equavalent sentence inorder to install the manual operated or block valve.

AFAIK, there's no EN equivalent of ASME TDP-1, or other standard which specifies the functional & operational design of piping & valves around boilers. But I may be wrong as I dont deal with them that often. National or local jurisiction may however dictate such requirements. Which country is it for?

If there's no local regulation for this (VdTUV etc.) and youre not stuck to ASME B31.1/TDP-1, then there's probably no equivalent sentence, apart from sound engineering design to be applied.

Water carryover into a hot steam turbine can result in catastrophic damage to the turbine. Sound engineering judgment would dictate installing a power operated block valve. A manual valve is not sufficient since a turbine (plant) operator cannot act fast enough to prevent damage to the turbine.

Best of luck!
