if i buy pdf & make a copy for my Asme audit, can it work or do i have to buy original hard copies for all my required section,

You must have the appropriate current editions of the Code sections on hand for the product being manufactured. PDF is acceptable.

Currently our shop has gone completely digital. We no longer keep printed copies of the codes at all, we only have .pdf copies.

If the auditor wants to verify that we have access to the latest edition, we open up the code on our computers and show them.

No need to print out the hundreds of pages and waste all that paper...

In addition any of the reference Standards as used in the Construction Codes (Table U-3 Section VIII Div.1) also need to be purchased.
