Hi, I read ASHRAE fundamental handbook for load calculations. It is said that "this method is best for light and medium weight construction", but I didn't find this kind of categorization in the book. Does anyone know what is the benchmark for light, medium, heavy weight construction that ASHRAE use? Thanks.

To be safe for commercial load calculations forget heavyweight construction and consequent more time lag because of thermal storage effects. Use ASHRAE commercial load estimating procedures for commercial buildings. Use residential load calculations for houses.
