I wanted to call the attention of folks on this forum to a post I just made in the Foundation Design Forum called:
"ASCE 7-16/22 12.13.5 Strength Design for Foundation Geotech Capacity, Resistance Factors"

... which poses questions on the origin and correctness of resistance factors for geotechnical foundation design in CH 12 (seismic) of ASCE 7-16 and 7-22.
