ASCE 41-06 and A500 Lower Bound Strength

I'm trying to figure out the lower bound yield and tensile strengths of ASTM A500 Gr. B Steel (specifically the rectangular) as called for in 5.2.2.5 Default Properties of ASCE 41-06. The lower bound strength is not listed in table 5-2 Default Lower-Bound Material Strength. I've reviewed the ASTM Specification for a few of the listed materials and for A500, but I can't see how it could have been derived from any of that. I have an idea to get to it:

Using AISC 341-10, the Expected yield strength can be determined by multiplying the minimum yield stress by Ry from Table A3.1: 46ksi X 1.4 = 64.4ksi.

ASCE 41-06 provides factors to go from Lower Bound Strength to Expected Strength in table 5-3. It provides a factor of 1.10 for all materials not listed, which would include A500. If you can multiply lower bound by this to get expected, it seems to follow that you could divide expected by it to get lower bound: 64.4ksi / 1.10 = 58.55ksi.

Same procedure would apply for tensile strength.

Does anybody have a good argument AGAINST this idea? If anyone has a copy of ASCE 41-13, is A500 addressed there? If 13 provides a similar result it would at least lend credence to my idea.

Thanks.

A500 is not listed in an ACSE 41-13 table. The specified yield and tensile strength are used for the lower-bound.

ASCE 41-13 section 9.2.2.1 said:
. . . For material grades not listed in Table 9-1 , lower-bound material properties shall be taken as nominal or specified properties or shall be based on tests where the material grade or specified value is not known.

Here I thought I was being clever. I seem to have missed that in 41-06....it's in 5.2.2.1. Thanks, wannabe. Everyone please ignore me...
