If you go to a dimensions properties and click the drop down under tolerance modes, there is an as is selection. Does anyone know the specific purpose of this selection or where you would use it.

It is useful when selecting multiple dimensions that display their tolerance values differently. If you select one dimension that show a plus/minus tolerance, another that shows limits, and another that shows nominal, as is is selected by default because three different tolerance modes are represented. You can choose to make all three dimensions plus/minus, or leave them as is.
