I have a pump foundation and I see go-by drawings with and without grounding the reinforcement.

I think the electrical engineers are using the reinforcing as a ground, not vice versa.

ok thanks. it does look like it. my goby foundations have that note "ground reinforcement prior to pouring". don't know if I need to add this on civil drawing or inspector/contractor scope to read electrical drawings.
