Are AN3 screw threads equivalent to UNF or something ells?

Im having trouble finding info on AN screw threads. I'm making a brake wear indicator that orignally used a modified AN(3) bolt, I know it's 10-32 rolled threads but how do I make a compatible thread call-out on my drawing?

By AN you mean american national? I believe the basic thread form is indeed the same as for UN though there may be differences in the tolerances/classes.

Also there is no formal UN equivalent to the smaller screws.

KENAT, probably the least qualified checker you'll ever meet...
 
if you had access to the NAS standards, you'd clearly see that they are UNF-3A
 
Looking at the specification for AN3, the thread is per MIL-S-7742 which is a cut thread. MIL-S-8879 is the rolled threads spec.
