Hello! Team 5 - Optik at the Aerospace Academy here! My teammates are having a tough time being able to program the Arduinos "Vibration Module Sensor" to not bump or walk directly into things from the waist-up! The problem is that while it does an amazing job at sensing objects from the waist-up like high tables, lamps, etc., it does not sense anything from the waist-down. It's much appreciated if anyone could help with the logistics of making our Arduinos "Vibration Module Sensor" 360 degrees for the aid for independence for blind people! Thanks again!

Is there a part number or supplier or any documentation for the "Vibration Module Sensor"? As much as an afternoon spent searching the web might be, and then asking if any of the ones I find might be what you are using, it's better to be very specific about what the module is, how it's being used, and what you mean be "waist-up" and "waist-down" as I am sure the sensor doesn't know the difference.

Hi 3DDave! Thanks for your reply! If it doesn't bother you, may I receive your email contact for better communication? This website is really hard to work with for me. Anyways, to answer your "concerns"; here is the link for the Arduinos Sensor we are using:
As for your second question, we are using the module to alert us of the surrounding objects before we bump into them. The goal is to try to reduce blind person injuries. We coded the arduino to sense the area to alert us arms-length to come to a stop.

By "wait-up/waist-down", I mean it senses above the waist, but doesn't sense below the waist. Honestly, it might be more of a coding error, but any opinion helps us with prototype trial-and-error. Again, using this website really is tough for me, so I'd appreciate it very much if I can receive your contact info, preferably your email and username.

Thanks again!

Nice try. Those aren't sensors. They aren't modules. I expect you aren't a student.

Hello 3DDave, I can assure you I am a student at The Palmdale Aerospace Academy. We are using coding and the provided Vibration Motors (to be exact, sorry that they weren't to your standards of sensors or vibration modules). We do have sensors and I completely forgot to ask my teammate for the link to them on Amazon. This is for our group project for EDD.

While I would continue this conversation, and ask for your contact email again, I'm going to be blunt and say that I'm not continuing this conversation anymore. Our teacher recently announced that they're changing this part of the project to be extra credit and optional.

With that out of the way, "I expect you aren't a student" even though it says right there on my profile that I am one. Am I right to assume you're being rude?

It's not rude when the information is of such poor quality. I have no idea if you are stealing someone's identity. I do know that not one thing you wrote matched.

It's rude to waste the time of others with badly formed information. Thank you for dropping this.

Again with asking about my email, even to say you won't ask for it. That's exactly what phishing attempts are like. Don't do that.

Phishing attempts? I understand the lack of information, but damn. Also, it was a part of the assignment to gain your contact email.

Yes. Exactly what a phishing attempt would say.

You asked about sensors - sent a link to a motor. This is what a 3rd grader would do, or someone with a VPN from Pakistan who is poor with English pretending to be a student.

I thought you were never coming back. Do that.

Hier Könnte Ihre Werbung - is that familiar?

Max, plase send your information so I can send you $2millions dollars. Put $5000 on YouTube gift cards and send me the codes.

(This is a joke, people. I wonder where the username MaxHopkins92 was taken from. I know were Crissal2013 was taken from.)
