API650 PLATE STRESS DUE TO ATTACHMENTS

Trying to work out the stress in the shell due to an attachment - like a pipe support or platform, and then if a compensating plate is required.
Can anyone help. Thanks.

Refer to the various pressure vessel handbooks for some different approaches. App. P can also be useful for some applications.
