Hi there,
I am currently trying to create a Level 2 spreadsheet for Part 9 Assessment of Crack-Like Flaws. However, I am experiencing a problem trying to understand how the Annex A3.4 (which is for Cylindrical Shells) works. The part which I do not understand is, each subpart which are (a), (b), (c) & (d), has its own condition and formula of tcmin, but then there's each unique formula for the tcmin of each subpart?
Let's take subpart (a) as an example. The condition for tcmin is tcmin <or= 0.5R. So for a start, my question will be, how do I know it is <or= 0.5R? Do I need to use the tcmin formula stated on each subpart or what? Or is this a spreadsheet which I have to create a goal seek to attain the tcmin value? Help!
