In regards to fatigue -
API 8c (which covers snatch/traveling blocks)requires fatigue analysis for no less than 20 years.
McKissick Snatch Blocks are API certified, they claim to meet the "requirements for the new Euronorm Standards: 20000 cycles at 1 1/2 times Working Load Limit."
Is anyone familiar with either of these codes, because 20000 cycles does not seem like a good estimate for 20 years? Am I reading something wrong when I look at this?
Thanks
Mark Alexander
