Hello.
I'm a stress analyst. This is the first time that I have to analyze the piping connected to an API 620 tank.
Could someone tell me how do you manage the nozzle loads check? I didn't find any info in the code.
I have analysed lots of time piping connected to API 650 tank and that code gives a method to check loads at nozzles in APPENDIX P and I exptected to find something similar for API 620 tanks.

Thanks to everybody for your effort.

Regards.

Giovanni

For sufficiently large tanks, it may be acceptable to use Annex P of API 650 to determine allowable nozzle loads. However, many API 620 tanks fall short of the diameter required for the assumptions used in Annex P to generate reasonable results. For these tanks, WRC 107, WRC 297, WRC 537, or Finite Element Analysis may be used.
