I have been working as a consultant with a company that induction bends lower strength grades of API 5L and never encountered this problem. Where is the cracking in the bend and how does it appear.

Cold bends, induction bends, diameter wall thickness, crack location? You need to provide this type of info.

The crack occur at the fusion line of the face bend sample.

Crack orientation is longitudnal.

Pipe was welded by SAW process.

It was a cold bend.

Wall Thickness is 11.2mm and 48" diameter

Sounds like a weld defect in the long seam SAW that opened during testing. You need to evaluate the nature of the weld defect using a metallurgical lab .

Lab analysis and some QC involvement to check storage and use of consumables
