API 570 Temporary Repairs

As you can find in API 570, 8.1.4.1
Temporary repair can not be made unless the pipe SYMS is not more than 40'000 psi,and a Fitness-For-Service analysis shows it is acceptable.

what should be done if the pipe SYMS is more than 40,000psi
