We are investigating the pros and cons of Skin Effect Heat Tracing. Are there any forum members that have in-situ experience with this method of heat tracing? and if so what are the key strengths and weaknesses of their system.

We have quite a bit of the ThermTrac system from Thermon installed for keeping transfer lines from getting below 45F.
I couldn't recall any problems with the system, but to make sure I made call to operations about the system. I had to to enlighten the operations area about the system, to which they stated that there hasn't been any problems in the last 3 years.

My last dealings with Thermon went very well.

I had to to enlighten the operations area about the system ...

That's when you know there REALLY haven't been ANY problems.
