Dear friends,

I don't know if anyone of you ever utilize the Lochinvar Copper-Fin II Gas Boiler before? We are replacing this one with existing steam boiler. Our shop never have experience with this type before.

Btu/hr input = 1,260,000
Btu/hr output = 1,058,400 (84% efficiency)
CSD-1 Code compliant with LWCO

Please help me as much as you can if you have any experience with this type. As a rookie, I also need to know what are the engineering requirements when shopping for a new boiler. Thank you very much for your help A.S.A.P.

Make sure repair parts are readily available. Talk to the sales rep. you are purchasing the unit from, and get names and #'s of local supply houses that carry part's to service the unit.

I make sure I will check on the readily parts when repairs are needed. Thank you.

Is there a reason for the change from steam to hw?
lochinvar, a copper fin boiler.- not a problem,
I re-sell a unit also made by lochinvar and they perform and it depends on the operation.
what is your process in press and temp?

We just got done installing Lochinvar Intellifin boilers. Nice looking, and most things are great about them, but don't believe everything you read in the literature. At this point, I would purchase someone else's brand over Lochinvar.
