If so, we see the faces behind the handles. [shadeshappy]

Sorry Dave . . . I'll be sweating it in Sulawesi . . Hope the big one doesn't hit and you all slide off into the ocean ! [bigsmile]

I'll be at the 2 Day short course, then selected talks through the week as my workload allows. Are you speaking?

No, but I do have a paper in the first poster session. If you have the CD that Shamsher sent out, look for paper 4.26.b, grandiosely entitled "ON THE USE OF EMPIRICAL CORRELATIONS FOR ESTIMATING THE RESIDUAL UNDRAINED SHEAR STRENGTH OF LIQUEFIED SOILS IN DAM FOUNDATIONS." I haven't even looked at the papers yet - too much project work and major landscaping at my house after structural repairs.

You must live in San Diego if you can bop in for selected sessions.

Dave - you going to allow some of us who can't attend a look-see at your paper??

I am not sure if I can post it here without running afoul of the copyright. I THINK there is a loophole because of my employer.

McCoy - I'll send it to you by transoceanic carrier pigeon, or by owl if you ever read "Harry Potter" to your children.

I did a search to look for the San Diego Conference, not that I'm going, but I do like to look at some of the papers for something of interest. This is a link

that lists San Diego conferences from May to November 2010. Wow, lots of esoteric topics!

I don't see anything to do with seismic engineering, where do I go to get a look at the papers being presented?

Can we go to San Diego anymore? now that they are boycotting Arizona? Mmmmmmmm I see that they are getting 25 to 30 emails a day cancelling summer plans from the 2 million Arizonans who vacation there each year . . . So I hear . . .

I think those 2 million cancellations are by illegal alians that have decided to move to other states whose budgets haven't been blown yet. And, if we get the really "big one" and California slides off into the Pacific, then Arizona becomes the new "left coast", a definite improvement.

What is it about the word ILLEGAL that people don't understand?

Sorry, BigH pushed my button.
