Any way to add sheet metal jog direction to a design table?

Hi all:

I've got a generic sheet metal part with lots of variations that I have put into a design table. The base part is very simple - just a base flange with a jog in it.

I need to be able to vary the position, offset, angle and direction of the jog.

I can add the sketch dimension to where the jog starts, the angle, and the offset to the table easily, but I cannot figure out how to add the direction.

Thanks for any help...

I don't believe the direction can be controlled by a DT.

However, you could create multiple jogs and control the suppression state of those in a DT. The same sketch for the Jog can be shared for each jog.

Huh - I tried entering in a minus offset dimension value in the DT for the version where I want the jog to be reversed from the others and it seems to have worked, even though the table doesn't show the - sign after I entered it.

Still, thanks for the tip.

That's interesting. It would not allow a negative dimension when applied in the graphics area.

Can you post your file? The DT will not create the negative flip in my system.

I'd better not post the file. I'm a contractor here and this place is pretty paranoid about their IP.

That's very odd - now my model won't do it either.

I swear it flipped for me this morning. Now it's saying that the DT cannot accept a negative number.

See my post upthread - my jog must have reversed for some other reason. Now SW tells me that I can't enter a minus value in the DT cell.

It's funny how that jog can reverse based on how far it is from the end of the part. Anyone else notice it? I can't quite get a fix on what it's using for rules.
