If I levitate a typical aerosol particle (density ~1.6g/cm^3, size ~ microns) using optical tweezers such as those from Thorlabs, do I have to suspend the particle in liquid (distilled water), or I can suspend it in air directly? If can be done in air, do I have to do this in a super-clean room as dust particles in air would disturb my sample particle. Thanks.
