Hello,

I need help regarding bringing FEA results file from ANSYS in other post processor particularly ABAQUS VIEWER.
How we could bring the ANSYS FE results into another post processor.
Thanks for the help!

Dear Strucleaner,
Both FEMAP & NX Advanced Simulation can import and postprocess ansys native results.
Best regards,
Blas.

Dear Blas Molero Hidalgo,

What will be Ansys result file name to be imported into FEMAP & NX Advanced Simulation.

Thanks for the help!

Hello!,
Well, in FEMAP you should always read analysis results into an existing model with nodes & elements, then first import analysis model. FEMAP will ask you the ansys version: 4.0, or "5.0 and above". Then FEMAP will require the *.ANS, or *.CDB files conytining the ansys model.

Once upon the ansys FE model is in FEMAP you can proceed to import the ansys analysis results. Again FEMAP will ask you for the ansys version, you can choose between the following:
A) 4.4
B) 5.0 - 9.0
C) 10.0 and above

In case A) you must provide *.DAT files.
In case B) and C) you must provide *.RST or *.RTH files.

Best regards,
Blas.
