Hello to all of you!
I have a question about my simulation in TRANSIENT STRUCTURAL ANALISYS WORKBENCH with more contacts non linear. In my simulation I have a simulation dynamic of 9 seconds in that there are many body flexible and rigid, and from the results of VonMises equivalent stress I found for a non linear meachanical mesh a value of 338MPa. Later I tried to use a parameter in set, as input the value of mesh and output MaxStressVonMises. I have set three different types of values (Mesh>FaceSizing of 1 mm,0.5 mm and 0.3 mm) over an area of the mesh body where I have the maximum stress.When I launch the simulation with three parameters, in output i receive rispectively 338MPa, 510Mpa and 299Mpa.
So I wonder if my solution is unstable, because I would expect with a thickening of the mesh have increasingly converged to a value and not swinging as in this case. Do you have ideas about why? What adoperate method for validation of the mesh and be sure that the results do not depend on the mesh that is created? Are you familiar with books on stable and unstable convergence regarding FEM, so as to see theoretically cases?
