ANSYS 15 Element Properties

Hi,

Is there any methods of modifying the elastic modulus or applying a thermal load to a particular mesh element or a set of elements?

I wish to conduct optimisation of a structure by slowly removing elements under low stress essentially removing material over several iterations.
