I'm applying a remote compressive displacement to a plate that sits on top of a rubber spring (z-axis). At the moment I've constrained the x and y displacement to zero - which is not representative. Nor is allowing the plate to move freely in the x and y direction. How do I allow the plate to move freely in the positive and negative x and y directions up to a specific value as the compressive displacement is applied?
