Question from that thread:

I'm not so much looking for the standard (B92.1), I can get a copy of it. I'm more looking for info on why it is shown as cancelled on ILI's site and is not superceded by anything. If it is truly cancelled is there something that would be better to design to? My gear vendor pointed me to 92.1 because he said it will make tooling easy and specifically said not to get tempted by 92.2M.

Answer:

ILI contains data only from ANSI. As ANSI has generally withdrawn its approval for all SAE standards, all the data sets for documents of SAE origin have been administratively withdrawn. And ANSI B92.1 is of SAE origin. Technically, ANSI B92.1 is still valid today as you will find for example in the database Perinorm which contains data sets from both ANSI and SAE. The data set for ANSI B92.1 coming from ANSI is withdrawn (like in ILI) while the data set coming from SAE is still valid.
