I am looking for ansi code manual dealing with electrical solid state relays

Go to Global Documents and do a search. They sell the ANSI standards.

A search in IHS for solid state relay listed ASTM E 2300 for highway traffic monitoring and three UL standards.

I find the device codes list which can provide the full range of device codes such as:
P for metering,
H for indicating light,
S for selector switches,
K for relay & contactor,
...
