Hi frndz,
For a Line having pipe as per ANSI B36.10 (od and thickness), i am taking the fittings as per B16.9. and specifying the thickness of the fitting same as that of pipe.
Is it correct to take thickness the same as pipe.

B16.9 doesn't talk about the thickness.
so can i take any thickeness as per my convenience? ( as the scope in the std mentions, "any producible thickenss")

Thank you,
Hiren.

I recommend that you read Section 2 of ASME B16.9 and especially para. 2.1

This should answer your questions.
