another controller question

i am using a 12 volt motor pulling under load 250amps and dropping after a few seconds to approx 100amps (keep in mind i dont mind slowing the motor down a little,i would prefer if possible to run these motors at approx 75amps) i've seen several controllers listed at max output of 100 amps if i were to use one of these would my motor not exceed 100amps or would i just burn up my brand new expensive controller?

The controller should limit the starting current. There will probably be a ramp function and current limit setting if you are getting a "store bought" controller.

That depends on the controller. Some will limit the output current at FL. Some may handle the starting current (short duration). Good designs should shut them selves down if the output exceeds its rating to save the controller. Review the data sheet of some controllers your looking at.
