Hi all,
Discussion at work came up about what the annual recurrence interval says with regard to each rain event in a given year. For example, say we have a 10 year event. Then in any given year, there is a 10% chance that the event will be equaled or exceeded. Can the annual recurrence interval be further used to say what chance the event has of being exceeded "each time it rains" in a given year?
