What code should i use or how can i compute the tension on anchor bolt? thanks.

Where are you??!! This is an international forum, with members representing many countries and many codes. Give a bit more information, please.

I'm here in Korea and our client from Philippines said that we must use the ACI 349 code to design the anchor bolt for foundation/concrete. Also, they want us to compute for the tension but by looking at the code and its sample problem there's no example on how to compute for the tension. Many thanks.

See Appendix B of ACI 349. It gives the requirements for computing factored tension in the anchor bolt. Remember that you have to consider the LOWER value obtained from the analysis of at least 5 parameters shown in Section B4 of the appendix, with tension of the bolt being only one of those considerations.

You first have to calculate the tension in the anchor rod. This can be due to uplift or flexure. It may also be a spec requirement that anchor rods be capable of developing their full tension capacity.
