Analysis - Writing Case Control

I'm new to nastran and I'm having trouble getting an analysis to run. Everything works fine but when I initiate the analysis, it says writing case control and simply times out. I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. Any advice?

It is really hard to figure out the reason with so little information. What GUI are you using, what version of Nastran, and what operation system? Can you post your Nastran input file?

Thanks but I worked it out. I was connected to a VPN and once I disconnected it working.
