Analysis of bolt cutters

I need to do a stress analysis test of a bolt cutter design. The applied load on the either handle is 50lbs. The design needs to be suitable for shearing fully hardened (grade 8) bolts up to 0.5 inch in diameter. If anyone can direct to me references or sketches that will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
