AMS 5282 Ring

I'm preparing the reaccreditation Nadcap audit concerning NDT. There is a requirement on the supplemental checklist AC7114/2S to use the AS5282 Tool Steel Ring insted of the Ansi Ketos Ring, which conforms to ASTM E1444. I really don't understand what is the difference in using either one or another ring. I'll be glad if someone could answer this question. Thank you everybody.
