Just getting into using AmpCalc and trying to model cables that are not within the default libraries provided with the program. How do you all go about inputting your own cable library typically? The manufacturer data sheets does not have half the data that is required in the program.

Does anyone have any libraries to share?

Thanks!

Have you asked AmpCalc about this? I'm guessing they would be pretty helpful. Similar insulation material should have pretty similar heat transfer properties. It's not really something that would vary dramatically between manufacturers.

About 30 years ago, we used the first generation of AmpCal software in a DOS version.
By that time, I was able to go inside the program and coded some specific applications that we use to design special duct banks.

I presume that today the software manufacturer allows the user to prepare a costume design. Check the manual or contact them for support.

Good luck.
