I read that sensitization of Inconel 600 can render it susceptible to intergranular corrosion in hot caustic solutions. Can this apply to say an MDEA (MonoDiethanolAmine) at around 230 F. Even though it is not a hydroxide, it is an alkaline substance. Can stress corrosion cracking as well?
