Hi all!
I'm in the process of machining an aluminium flywheel to fit on my GM engine(2.3 W41) witch will be superchaged at the end of the winter, i'm actually doing this project during this winter.
I was wondering if anyone here would be able to tell me what would be the ideal thickness of the alloy disc i can install on the aluminium flywheel? and what would be the best material to suit this application? the disc outside dia. is about 9 3/8 inch, inner dia is 5 3/4 inch.
I was thinking about putting a 1/4 inch thick 1045 alloy. I saw on the Fidanza web site that they use 1050 alloy to built their disc.
thanks for any help!
